Harry On PIG

PIG a special term that in general has conotative meaning in everyday sense of a:

# hog: domestic swine
# slob: a coarse obnoxious person
# hog: a person regarded as greedy and pig-like

# bull: uncomplimentary terms for a policeman
# live like a pig, in squalor
# devour: eat greedily; "he devoured three sandwiches"
# pig bed: mold consisting of a bed of sand in which pig iron is cast
# a crude block of metal (lead or iron) poured from a smelting furnace
# farrow: give birth; "sows farrow"

Although, the one I'm referring to is this: A Pipeline Inspection Gauge or "pig" in the pipeline industry is a tool that is sent down a pipeline and propelled by the pressure of the product in the pipeline itself. It is the chief tool used in pigging.
Or the one mentioned in this reference www.tdwilliamson.com: A device with optional elastomer cups inserted into a pipeline to perform any one of a number of functions: cleaning, displacement, batching, or internal inspection. It gets its name from the squealing noises the pipeline pigs made when first used."

Agh...the magic of WORDS...no wonder one must be able to "READ".
